Frequently Asked Questions
How should I describe the rent? You should make sure that you are precisely describing only rent owed under the lease. You should ensure that you do not claim amounts that are not described as rent in the lease, and that you do not claim any more than you are owed in the lease. What is a breach of lease?A breach of lease refers to a breach of a covenant or condition in the lease.

A covenant is an agreement to do or not to do a specified act, such as the agreement to pay rent on a certain day.

A condition, on the other hand, is a contingency that must be met. For example, the lease may contain the condition that if the tenant declares bankruptcy, the lease will be cancelled.
