There are three types of Non-Disclosure Agreements:
1. Unilateral
These documents are one-sided. In a unilateral agreement, only one party shares sensitive information, such as in employee/employer, contractor/employer, and buyer/seller relationships.
LawDepot’s Non-Disclosure Agreement template is built for unilateral Non-Disclosure Agreements. For bilateral or multilateral agreements, each party can create a document using our questionnaire.
2. Bilateral
A receiving or disclosing party may use a bilateral agreement when both parties share confidential information, such as during mergers and acquisitions.
3. Multilateral
These are multi-party agreements that a receiving or disclosing party may draft when three or more parties share private information, such as during negotiations, multiple enterprise partnerships, or trade agreements.
