Online Notary is a digital, remote service that allows any person or business to notarize legal documents online using our secure process.
We can notarize most legal documents except Last Wills, Pour-Over Wills, Separation Agreements, Cohabitation Agreements, Pre- and Post-Nuptial Agreements, USPS Form 1583s and documents for use outside the US. We also cannot notarize certified true copies of birth, marriage, and death certificates, court-issued documents, Certificates of Naturalization, Certificates of Citizenship, or Declarations of Intention to Become a Citizen.
You can use a valid state ID, driver’s license, or passport to verify your identity.
You can notarize documents with multiple signers. All signers must be in the same room together during the online notary process. If this isn’t possible, you can notarize each signature separately over two different notary calls.
To complete the online notary process, you need to have a digital copy of your legal document or a LawDepot template. You can create a digital legal document here, upload an existing file, or scan a physical document. You will also need your photo ID, a webcam, audio device (speakers or headphones), a microphone, and internet speed that allows for webchat.
