  • Is used to detail any warranty that may be included with the purchase.
  • Can also be used as a record and receipt of purchase.
Either a Bill of Sale or a Sales Agreement is required for the sale or purchase of goods with a value greater than $500.

Any Risk of Loss or Damage is transferred to the Purchaser when: Q. Who should bear the risk of loss? A. The risk of loss is borne by the Seller initially, but is eventually transferred to the Purchaser. Typically, the risk of loss is transferred to the Purchaser when the Seller delivers the goods or a bill of sale to the Purchaser, but the risk of loss can also pass to the Purchaser when the Seller transfers the goods to a carrier who will deliver the goods to the Purchaser.
Purchaser Receives the Goods or a Bill of Sale
Seller delivers the Goods to a Carrier or a Bill of Sale is given to the Purchaser Q. What is a Carrier? A. A Carrier is a person or corporation to whom the Seller gives possession of the good being sold, and the Carrier then delivers the good to the Purchaser.
Warranty (what I am promising about the Goods) Q. What is a Warranty? A. This is a guarantee made by the Seller to the Purchaser as to certain qualities or characteristics of the property.
